CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
We would like to reassure our clients that we
remain open across our sites for urgent or emergency appointments.
However, following the British Veterinary Association guidelines issued
yesterday we regret to inform you that as of 23rd March 2020 we are unable to
see any non urgent or routine cases.
These include nail clips, booster vaccinations for older pets and health plan
checks.
We also cannot book in routine surgeries such as neutering, dental scale and
polish procedures or minor lump removals.
We are looking to provide a video consultation alternative over the coming
weeks and will keep you updated on this future service.
We ask that all our clients who do need to come to the practice adhere to our
policy which supports the governments recommendation for social distancing, a
reminder of which you can find below:
·
Maintain social distance as far as possible.
This can be improved by waiting in the car park or outside rather than in the
waiting room particularly if there is a client already in the reception area.
·Ensure that you follow the government recommended guidelines regarding handwashing prior to attending our clinic and if possible apply hand gel on entering and leaving our premises.
·Wherever possible please limit to one person per pet when coming to the practice.
·Please bring a pen with you in case you need to sign a consent form to avoid using a communal pen at reception.
·DO NOT come to the practice if you have recently travelled to a high risk area, been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID -19 or if you have symptoms yourself.
Similarly, if you are self isolating due to a chronic illness or are immune compromised please do not attend the practice.
For people in these categories please contact us by telephone in the first instance. We can discuss your concerns and potentially use a videolink consultation if this is appropriate, which will allow us to determine if we need to see your pet at the practice. If we advise an examination then you must ask someone to bring your pet on your behalf.
