Coronavirus Update 18th March 2020
We would like to reassure our clients that all four branches remain open with normal working hours and will do so for as long as is possible in these changing times.
In order to maintain our services, whilst ensuring the safety of our staff, we are asking our clients to assist with the following:
· Maintain social distance as far as possible. This can be improved by waiting in the car park or outside rather than in the waiting room particularly if there is a client already in the reception area.
· Ensure that you follow the government recommended guidelines regarding handwashing prior to attending our clinic and if possible apply hand gel on entering and leaving our premises.
· Wherever possible please limit to one person per pet when coming to the practice.
· Please bring a pen with you in case you need to sign a consent form to avoid using a communal pen at reception.
· DO NOT come to the practice if you have recently travelled to a high risk area, been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID -19 or if you have symptoms yourself.
Similarly, if you are self isolating due to a chronic illness or are immune compromised please do not attend the practice.
For people in these categories please contact us by telephone in the first instance. We can discuss your concerns and potentially use a videolink consultation if this is appropriate, which will allow us to determine if we need to see your pet at the practice. If we advise an examination then you must ask someone to bring your pet on your behalf.
We will continue to update our clients via Facebook and the website but please contact the practice if you have any other queries as we negotiate this difficult time. Our dedicated team of Vets, Nurses and Receptionists will always be here to help your pets.
Kind regards
Emma and Peter Sharp and the team at Dundas Vet Group
