History of Dundas Veterinary Group

Dundas Veterinary Group was established in the late seventies/early eighties when two existing new town practices were amalgamated.

The main practice at 99 Dundas Street was added to within a few years by setting up branch practices at Granton Road and Lochend Road South. The Oxgangs Road branch was opened in 1991.

Two of the current partners, Audrey Fearn and Sheila Cranna, have been with the practice since 1985 and 1988 respectively. Emma Sharp joined the partnership in September 2012 having been with the practice since 2008.

Recent renovations at our main branch on Dundas St have allowed us to provide separate kennelling for dogs and a dedicated cat ward, to reduce the stress of hospitalisation for your pet, as well as isolation facilities. We have a separate prep room and a dedicated operating theatre plus separate dental room and additional xray area. Further diagnostics include ultrasound, dental radiography and in house laboratory work for urgent cases.

Ethos of Dundas Veterinary Group

Our ethos is to treat our patients with respect, understanding and compassion. We strive for continuity of care, with our veterinary surgeons primarily being based at one surgery. This helps our clients and patients to get to know their vet and for us to know our clients and patients.
